Data we collect

None. Dayspan does not collect, transmit or store any information about you. There is no analytics, no advertising network and no crash reporting service.

Data kept on your phone

Everything the app needs lives in a database on your device only:

• Your habits and their daily check-ins
• Your tasks, notes and reminder settings
• Your preferences: language, morning brief, celebrations

This data never leaves your phone. Nobody, including us, can access it.

Your calendar

Dayspan asks for read access to the calendars already on your phone so it can show today's events next to your tasks and habits. It reads them fresh each time you open the app. It does not copy, store, modify or upload your events, and it cannot write to your calendar. You can decline the permission and use the app without it, or revoke it later in iOS Settings.

Permissions

• Calendar: read-only, as described above. Asked only when you tap "Connect calendar".
• Notifications: for the optional morning brief and for reminders you turn on per task or habit. Notifications are scheduled by your phone itself; nothing is sent from a server.
• Alarms (iOS 26 and later): if you choose "Alarm" for a reminder, Dayspan schedules it through Apple's AlarmKit so it rings even in silent mode. Asked only when you pick that option.

Home Screen widget

The widget reads a small summary of today's items from a private storage area shared between the app and the widget on your device. Nothing about it involves the network.

Deleting your data

In the app, Settings → Start over erases every habit, check-in, task and setting. Deleting the app from your phone removes all data as well. Deleted data cannot be recovered, because no copy exists anywhere else.

Children

Dayspan is suitable for all ages. Since no data is collected, no age-gated processing takes place.

Third parties

The app sends no data to any third-party service. Open-source components it uses (icons, illustrations) are bundled inside the app and do not access the network at runtime.

Dayspan's full source code is public on GitHub. You do not have to take our word for any of the above; you can read the code.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. A change such as starting to collect data would be announced clearly inside the app.
